Hiking - Endless Trails through Beautiful Countryside

Guesthouse & Holiday apartments "des Capucins" - Le Puy en Velay

The Auvergne region is ideal for walkers. Trails are well maintained and clearly marked. Hikers can either choose between walks taking anything from one hour to one day (les petites randoneés - PR) or may choose to follow Les grandes randoneés (GR), which are generally trips of several days.

The two most well known pilgrim routes passing through or beginning in Le Puy are the St Jaques de Compostelle and the Stevenson routes. The St Jaques de Compostelle route passes directly in front of our guesthouse.

Other well known routes are the GR3, Sentier de la Loire, the GR430, chemin de St François Régis and the GR40, Tour of Velay.
